Professor Neeraj Gill

Neeraj Gill is a Professor of Adult Psychiatry at Griffith University, Gold Coast and Professor, Public Mental Health, University of Canberra. He is a psychiatrist at Gold Coast Health and a member of the Mental Health Review Tribunal (MHRT), Queensland. His previous appointments include Clinical/Medical Director of mental health services in Toowoomba and Gold Coast and Acting Chief Psychiatrist of Queensland. Neeraj is an elected director on the Board of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP). He is the secretary of the World Psychiatric Association (WPA) Section on Psychiatry, Law and Ethics. Neeraj completed his Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) from UNSW Sydney in 2020 based on his doctoral thesis on 'human rights of people with mental disabilities'. He has published many papers on human rights and mental health law.
